The visualization methods of urban climate have gradually become important in recent years due to climate change and global warming. The urban climate is highly related to public health, architecture design, urban planning, medicine, and meteorology which need to be addressed urgently. The field of urban climate have been actively explored and developed by researchers and become an important factor to improve urban planning. Therefore, this study takes the five major cities in Taiwan as an example to discuss the process of establishing urban climate map in Taiwan. In order to understand the climate impact caused by different built environments in the urban area, many methods have been applied in the past to present the microclimate. This study will discuss with different climate data acquisition, produce method and visualization results, including: remote sensing, field measurements, and simulations for comprehensive discussion and analysis. Focusing on comparing the production process and the methods of establishing the climate map. And through various combinations of information to understand which methods is more appropriate to visualize the climatic data in the research field. The results of this study show that in areas where is lacking urban development data can readily obtain urban develop information and climatic information through the satellite image. While in the city with sufficient urban development data, can present the climatic condition including the wind and thermal conditions in higher resolution through the combination use of urban develop information and surface measurement. In term of the simulation approach, it is more flexible for conducting the scenario simulation to obtain the plan that is most suitable for the future development of the area based on the climate environment. Based on the results, this study can be able to provide the urban planners and architects who do not have climate background can have more ways to understand the urban climate can provide a reference to the future urban planning and related regulations to solve the increasingly serious urban climate issues.
