回應二十一世紀環境與社會對都市所帶來的挑戰,本研究主要從緊湊都市切入,重想都市模型。隨著環境變遷帶來的警訊與都市空間的擴張,促使人們思考居住空間與環境衝突之間的權衡,本論文在以維持基本良好的都市居住品質為條件下,試圖求得最緊湊的土地利用方式。從建築單體型態、組合配置關係至都市建蔽率與容積率反應出的空間密度與強度,將設計做為研究手段做一系列都市空間探討。
然而近幾年產業生態、社會人口結構的驟變,都市必須擁有足夠韌性以支持高動態的都市空間行為活動。傳統看待都市的觀念已然無法負載快速又多變的使用需求,都市空間將趨於彈性使用、混合使用;同時隨著新服務產業的崛起,更能支援生活在流體都市中的日常所需,增加都市的宜居性,本研究將在新都市模型中進行觀念闡述與空間示範。
There are two big challenges in the 21st century: Global Warming and Globalization. Global Warming brings climate changing, and reduced that make land used should be more efficient and sustainable. Globalization promotes better relationships between countries with international trading and becomes a whole economic systems, also diminish the demarcation of the border within countries. Therefore, high mobility population becomes a common phenomenon, which affecting the population structure of cities, turns into aging society. In order to response these two challenges in our daily life, the urban form should be rethinking and redefining.
Based on maintaining basic good quality urban life, make the land used in most compact way. First of all, we need to study all building types. Secondly, we need to test building types in combinations of planning by different ways which reflecting spatial density and strength. As a result, it will reveal the defined capacity of compact and livable urban form.
City must be resilient enough to support high dynamic behavior of urban activities. Concerning the traditional urban is not able to afford the fast and ever-changing needs, the urban will tend to be adjustable, flexible and mixed use. With the emerging of new service industries, it will be more in support of daily needed in the city, also increasing the city livability. The concept and practice will be demonstrated in the new urban model as a consequence.
