  • 本研究因應台灣的資訊與通訊產業(Information and Communication Technology,簡稱ICT)受到中國崛起紅色供應鏈的衝擊,因此維持供應鏈廠商間的競爭優勢便為一個重要的議題。本研究聚焦在台灣的電子伺服器產業,提出了兩項研究目的:(1)歸納出紅色供應鏈對於雲端伺服器產業所造成影響之重要因子(2)透過個案研究法以及深度訪談法蒐集資料並提出產業當前的因應之道。
    本研究在第貳章進行文獻探討,梳理伺服器產業以及供應鏈的發展與特性,並且進一步整理競合理論以及資源基礎理論作為分析的理論基礎,在這樣的理論基礎架構之下,本研究先分析個案M公司的主要產品、採購供應鏈的型態、在地化與e化的發展,探討出M公司主要的核心競爭力以及伺服器產業不同的營業型態,如何受到紅色供應鏈的衝擊,同時以Porter的SWOT分析內部策略,以及Porter的五力分析評估外部環境與因應策略;最後採用競合理論架構進行訪談內容分析,了解到紅色供應鏈對於M公司價值鏈之影響,同時了解造成紅色供應鏈的影響主要因子、現況以及未來發展與因應之道。
    整體而言,紅色供應鏈帶來的影響主要有四項,1、公司營運方向的調整包含產品及顧客的選擇及未來營運佈局。2、生產設計上之調整,簡化設計及簡化生產流程降低成本。3、品質管控及品質標準調整。4、供應策略的調整包含結盟或透過代理、簽定部份合作意向書。最末,紅色供應鏈衝擊台灣的經濟現況,本研究建立一套整合架構分析台灣伺服器(代工)廠商的研究架構,進而了解廠商彼此之間競爭又合作的動態關係,達成動態的平衡。台灣電子資訊製造業轉向高毛利、高附加價值的領域,未來應加強高技術之研發,讓台灣的廠商既得以與紅色供應鏈抗衡,另一方面,亦可與中國廠商透過聯盟的方式,增加整體代工產業零組件供應之穩定度。

    This research focuses on the issue of ICT (information and communication technology) industry in Taiwan facing the rising red supply chain in China. Facing the competition from China, how to survive and maintain the competitive advantages among supply chain providers has become an important issue for ICT industry in Taiwan. This research will specifically use the electronic server industry as focal industry and has proposed two research objectives, which are: (1) to summarize the key elements that lead to red supply chain’s influence over cloud servers (2) to discover counter strategy for ICT industry in Taiwan through case study and in-depth review.

    This research included literature review in the second chapter to summarize the development and characters of server industry and its supply chain’s development; then we further integrated competition-integration theories and fundamental resource theories as basis of the research. Under such research framework, this research first summarized main products of company A; its procurement supply chains, localization and tech-savviness; and how products offered by current server industry is impacted by red supply chain. At last, we adopted Porter’s SWOT analysis to analyze internal strategy while using Porter’s Five-Force analysis to analyze external strategy. In addition, we use completion-cooperation theories to underline important interview contents and attempted to understand the influence of red supply chain through deep interview and use such understanding to develop viable strategy in the future based on the current circumstances ICT industry in Taiwan is facing.

    From the research results, we found that the impact brought by red supply chain covers four realms: 1. adjustment of companies’ operational directions, including different selections of consumer group and product options and future business strategies; 2. adjustment of production models and designs, includes simplifying designing procedure and other cost-reducing measures; 3. Quality control and adjustment in production quality standard; 4. Change in supply chain tactics, including alliance, outsourcing, or singing letters of intents.

    Finally, this research contributed to current theories by industry analysis considering the circumstance of ICT industries in Taiwan and the influence from red supply chain. The contributions included 1. Establishing a integration analysis on current server industry in Taiwan and proposing theories to maintain its competitive edge; 2. The sever industries in Taiwan maintains a dynamic balance through dynamic relations what contain both integration and competition. Current Taiwan supply chain owners are switching to fields with higher revenue and added value. This research suggested to develop advanced technologies to enable factories in Taiwan to remain competitive against red supply chain or to ally with Chinese companies to improve stability in spare part supply in the manufacturing industry.
