線上學習風氣的盛行，使得學校與企業在知識傳遞及培訓上，都逐漸以網路教學模式取代過去實體的訓練模式；而一個優良的學習環境，除了網路平台功能的完整性，更必須強調課程教材的豐富性。
　　目前國際間盛行的網路教學標準－SCORM，規範了教材共享與跨平台交流的機制，期能提高課程教材的可重用性以充實各學習管理平台的學習資源，讓網路教學系統更能提供多樣化的課程給學習者。
　　本論文之教材編輯工具是以多媒體技術為基礎，讓老師將教材內容與授課時對教材的導引動作完整的記錄下來，並配合教學影片以同步化的方式產出課程網頁，希望透過多媒體與老師生動解說教材的方式，提高學生的學習興趣。另外，我們也結合國際潮流SCORM標準，在產出課程網頁的同時也自動製作出標準格式的教材封裝檔，基於這種統一的格式，老師便不需依教學環境的不同再重新修正教材，就能把課程提供到各個學習管理平台上讓學習者瀏覽，達到教材資源共享與交換的目的。

　　With the popularity of the Internet, many schools and enterprises have switched their training mode to e-Learning for effective and systematic knowledge transfer and management. To build up an e-learning environment, we need not only a sound framework of e-learning platform, but also a user-friendly content authoring tool creating a vivid courseware.
　　In this project, our objective is to develop a standardized multimedia authoring tool that can record desired audio and video as well as the instructor’s actions imposed on the knowledge materials simultaneously. And learners can simulate an on-live course by synchronizing course video stream and HTML-based presentation, which will make knowledge course more vivid.
　　Furthermore, according to the national standard of SCORM, authoring tool will produce a sharable content package automatically. Based on it, an instructor needn’t modify courseware when an e-Learning environment is changed, and can provide it to different learning management systems directly. With the support of SCORM, the authoring tool can make courseware sharable and reusable and enrich the learning resource database.
