  • 台灣現有的房屋有很大一部分將邁入老舊住宅的行列,為保證居住品質與安全,必須對老舊房屋進行改善措施。改善的方式除了拆除新建之外,更加可行的方式是對老屋進行改造與修繕作業。然而,改造可以不只是單純地加固結構以及修繕不足,若在改造中提升房屋的室內物理環境品質,將使改造更有意義與價值。而台南氣溫常年炎熱,悶熱的室內常需要空調系統進行溫度調節。而良好的通風環境,可以有效帶走室內熱量,降低溫度,解決高溫問題。

    本論文通過CFD電腦模擬的方式,對風與空間的相互關係進行研究。並且在研究的基礎上,利用量塊、板牆等空間元素,以及x-y-z三次元的實虛操作,設計出一套可有效改善通風環境的空間設計操作方法。

    設計中選取了台南真實的老屋,將老屋改造為提供給工藝師、設計師、技師共同工作生活的空間,空間激發工作者的創意,希望能夠藉此改善台南傳統工藝產業沒落的處境。同時,在設計過程中將設計方法加以實踐,最後呈現出具有良好通風效果的豐富的室內空間。

    SUMMARY
    In Taiwan, large amount of houses are becoming old houses. In order to ensure the quality of the living and security, measures must be implemented to improve the old house. As well as tear the houses down, the more feasible way is to reconstruct the old house. Temperature of Tainan is very high all around the year. Good ventilation can effectively take away the indoor heat, reduce the temperature to solve the problem of high temperature. It is helpful if we can reconstruct old houses as well as enhancing the quality of indoor physical environment.
    In this paper, we explore the relationship between wind and space by using computer simulation. On the basis of the result of the research, a design method was born to design space and improve the ventilation environment.
    An old house in Tainan was selected to be the site of the design. I reconstruct the old house to a space where craftsmen, designers, technologist can work and live together to stimulate creative workers, hoping to improve the traditional craft industry. At the same time, the design takes the design process in practice, finally showing an interesting space with good ventilation effect.

    INTRODUCTION

    Reconstruction and renovation of the old house is necessary in Taiwan. The best way is to reconstruct old houses and improve ventilation in the same time. In this paper, a design method was established on the basis of the research which aimed to find out the relationship between space and wind. I hope that this method can combine design and research. So that design will not only concentrate on responsing to the question, expressing their views or creating space, but also has certain engineering and technical support on the physical environment.
    In the former part of this paper, the research will be mentioned, then the design method will be introduced. In the latter part of the paper, I selected an old house in Tainan, and construct it into a co-working space for craftsmen, designers and technologist. Finally, showing a rich interior space with good ventilation effect.

    MATERIAL AND METHOD
    This paper presents the design method called WSD Methodology, namely Wind Space Design Methodology, which is to create wind by design space. It is an operation method, using Block, Wall and other spatial elements and CFD modeling techniques, to reconstruct houses, with the architectural requirements, design concepts. The design will not only meet the needs, but also provide a good indoor environment with good ventilation.
    The method is divided into the following four steps:
    1. Background Analysis
    2. Building Block Design
    3. Floor & Wall Design
    4. Detail Design
    In WSD methodology, the most critical step is simulation and adjustment. It is a cyclical process. It will arrive at the best solution after continuous simulation comparison and adjustments.

    RESULT AND DISCUSSION
    After reconstruction, the old house break the original spatial order that street houses are lengthwise. The three neighboring houses combine and relate to each other, making the house a place with flowing spatial effect, stimulating creativity and imagination place.
    After selecting an existing old house as the site of the program, I designed by analyzing the background, designing building block, designing floor and wall, design in detail. Finally, it became a space of a rich interior space with good ventilation effect. Obviously, WSD methodology is a feasible and effective method of design. It tripped on the thinking patterns of traditional design, adding a basic of scientific research, which makes the design more informed and more design results can be expected. But we cannot just use the method blindly. Think and ideas of the designer are also important.

    CONCLUSION
    In this paper, through a series of research and design, we can see that design and research can be combined by an operation method which is effective and practical. But the method need to be constantly reviewed and updated, in order to design more and more close to people, so that it can be accepted by the public.

    WSD Methodology is to propose a design method, hoping to integrate design and technology to solve the situation that the two are now relatively isolated.
