本研究主要探討製藥業的商業模式,近年來台灣製藥產業發展越來越迅速,但礙於資金關係,只能發展學名藥以及原料藥,對專利藥仍未能進入,本研究將針對製藥業的特性,高成本高風險,但是高報酬的方式,利用交易成本理論以及知識基礎理論來探討台灣製藥業在選擇效率導向商業模式以及創新導向商業模式的選擇因素。
本研究將採用質性研究方法,藉由訪談台灣幾間製藥廠的方式,藉由訪談兩間台灣製藥廠,利用多個案分析的方式,來探討台灣製藥廠選擇商業模式的決策準則。研究發現台灣製藥廠商選擇商業模式的因素受到兩大因素的影響,第一個因素為製藥廠商領導者的策略方向,第二則是政府政策影響。
本論文第一章先簡介本研究之研究目的以及研究問題。第二章回顧商業模式之相關文獻,其中包括交易成本理論以及知識基礎觀點理論。第三章介紹本次研究所採用之研究方法。第四章簡介製藥產業之特性以及相關法規。第五章簡介個案公司以及個案訪談結果。第六章提出研究發現,結論以及後續研究建議。
This research aim to provide a way about choosing the business model in Taiwanese pharmaceutical industry. Because the industry is high cost and high risk, bur high profit, Taiwanese pharmaceutical companies’ primary product is generic drugs. None of them produce the brand-name drugs.
By using transaction cost theory and knowledge based view to analysis Taiwanese pharmaceutical companies. What is their decision point about choosing the efficiency-centered business model or novelty-centered business model.
This research uses the qualitative research method. By doing interviews and collecting secondary data to analysis the multi case study. This research aims to find the decision point of choosing the business model in Taiwan pharmaceutical industry. This research finds two factors, which influence Taiwan pharmaceutical firms choose business model. First one is strategy of pharmaceutical firms. Second is government policy.
This research provide a brief introduction in chapter one, chapter two provide literature review, which include transaction cost theory and knowledge based view. Chapter three provide research method. Industry analysis is provided in chapter four. The result is presented in chapter five. Chapter six provide discussion and suggestions.
