  • ABSTRACT

Scouring have been a major problem across the world where excessive scour especially at bridge or water structure could create a bridge or structures failures. The biggest cause of scour at pier are due to the local scour that occur when the flow meet the pier. The damaged caused by the failure are not only cost lost live but create traffic and a lot of cost for reparation therefore the government all the country started to take this case seriously. With the advance study there have been discovered several method to help reducing scour or to understand the mechanism of scour to help the prevention of scour.
The purpose of this research is to understand the difference scouring phenomenon generated with several different pores cylinders and several type spacing. This is done to understand whether different pores have different scour generated and how does it compared with solid cylinder and also to understand that how will the different spacing leads to different type of scouring. Also to know despite the different pores or spacing will there be a trend line that show the same type of phenomenon in all the conducted experiments.
