休閒農業之精神以著重農業生產、生活、生態之三生環境，結合休閒遊憩、觀光活動型態，充分利用農業環境資源，為農村創造無限生機。當農業環境中加入休憩的活動，勢必在現地環境中增設多種設施，以因應休憩之需求。但今農場設施設置情形多屬農場經營者自行依現況條件設立，屬娛樂性質之遊樂設施亦常出現在農業環境之中，完全失去休閒農業的精神；有鑑於此，休閒農場設施的規劃與設置，實是休閒農業發展的一項重要課題。
此研究主要的目的是探求合宜設置於休閒農業環境中的休閒農場設施項目，立論基礎是以行為場域的觀念，將休閒農業資源、休憩行為與休閒農場設施作關聯性探討；並建構休閒農業環境之行為場域模式，以記錄且檢視台灣專案輔導休閒農場中進行的休憩行為與設施設置現況，發掘休閒農場設施規劃的課題；並就前述論及的行為場域觀念與農業資源的應用，從中歸納休閒農場設施的設置項目，提出休閒農場設施之規劃方法與合宜設置的休閒農場設施內容。
研究重點如下：
一、目前休閒農場經營與設施規劃課題
(一) 農業生產比例降低且農場經營傾向於提供休閒遊憩服務
(二) 休憩活動進行影響農業生產經營之衝突
(三) 部分休閒農場設施損及三生農業資源特質
二、休閒農場設施之規劃原則
(一) 維持原有之農業生產機能
(二) 重視農業環境及自然環境之保育
(三) 考量參與者休憩行為之活動需求
(四) 運用三生農業資源之動態經營
(五) 注重活動策劃與設施規劃之整合性
三、休閒農場設施設置項目
(一) 農業環境及活動體驗設施 、(二) 農莊生活食宿設施、(三) 農業及自然生態教育解說設施 、(四) 戶外休憩及觀景設施、(五) 農場服務設施、 (六 )安全及防護設施 (七) 其他設施。

With its emphasis on the integration of the 3-in-one agricultural environment —agricultural production, life and ecology with leisure-travel activities, the leisure farm operation is intended to make best use of agricultural resources to create infinitive opportunities for agricultural development. The introduction of leisure-travel activities into an agricultural environment will result in the increase of various facilities in the existing farm space to satisfy the demands of leisure and travel. However, most facilities on existing farms are found to have been established by farm operators in compliance with individual farm conditions. And facilities for entertaining purpose also exist in agricultural environments. They fail completely to live up to the spirit of leisure farm. In light of the aforementioned, the design and establishment of leisure farm facilities comes as an important issue in the development of leisure agriculture.
The primary purpose of this study is to explore items of facilities that can be properly installed and established in a leisure agricultural environment. It aims to discuss the correlations of agricultural resources, leisure behavior and leisure farm facilities based on the concept of behavioral environment. Also, it will construct a behavioral environment model to record and examine the status of on-going leisure behaviors and facility setups in leisure farms supported by the government in a special project, trying to discover the problems for the planning of leisure farm facilities. Meanwhile, it will work out proper items of leisure farm facilities with reference to the concept of behavioral environment and the application of agricultural resources. Finally the study will come up with its proposal of planning methods and contents for the design and establishment of leisure farm facilities.
The key points of this study are described as follows:
