Objectives: By using a wearable device, the current study aimed to investigate relationship between stress index, maximum heart rate, resting heart rate, total minutes of sleep and steps of walking exercise.
Methods: A 35-year-old female who was currently in a high-stress work environment and had no regular exercise habits participated the current study. A total of 444-day data set including daily steps and various indices were collected. Pearson’s correlation was used to analyze the relationship among the walking steps, the stress index, maximum heart rate, resting heart rate and total sleep minutes.
Results: The average number of steps in spring and summer was significantly lower than that in autumn and winter; the highest heart rate was significantly highest in autumn; the number of minutes of high pressure was the lowest in winter. The correlation results between the indicators show that the number of steps is significantly correlated with the highest heart rate, the stress index is positively correlated with the resting heart rate, and negatively correlated with the total sleep time, and the number of minutes of high pressure is positively correlated with the maximum heart rate, resting heart rate and stress index relevant.
Conclusion: Compared with other seasons, the number of steps, maximum heart rate and resting heart rate in autumn are significantly different from those in other seasons, while the stress index is relatively low compared with other seasons, indicating that there are seasonal changes in exercise behavior and physiological indicators; resting heart rate and stress indicators, which may be indirectly related to exercise behavior.
