由於科技日益進步,人類開始研發各式各樣的機器人廣泛的應用於在日常生活中,帶來了許多便利性,例如學校、醫院、辦公室等等,可是大多都不是會主動跟隨使用者的機器人。尤其當環境是像圖書館時,使用者在找書之際,有時候會需要椅子之類的來拿取高處的書籍,或是在找到書籍後,可以隨時坐下來閱讀一番。因此,本文利用無線射頻辨識即RFID(Radio Frequency Identification ,RFID)和紅外線感測器所得到的資訊,作為判斷與使用者的距離及角度的依據,並撰寫控制器及跟隨使用者的演算法,以進行馬達轉速的控制以及感測器的接收值,作為整個輪型機器人之操控、距離及方位判斷。最後透過定位控制、距離量測和跟隨使用者等實驗以確實驗証本論文方法之有效性。
As technology advances, humans begin to develop mobile robots for providing many kinds of services and bring lots of conveniences in, such as, school, hospital, and office etc. But most of the robots to date will not take the initiative to follow their users. Sometimes, in an environment like library, when we are looking for books and really need to stand on a chair to retrieve books from higher shelves, or when we find books and would like to have a seat nearby to sit on and read them. Therefore, this study develops a human following robot which uses RFID and infrared sensors to obtain distance and orientation information of its target user followed.
The rules and algorithms for judging distance and orientation of target users are realized for calculating information received from RFIDs and infrared sensors to measure the distance and angles and control the wheel motors of the robot to follow the target user. Several experiments conducted in this study have verified the effectiveness of the mechanism used in the robot; they have yielded promising results.
