本研究探討家長對子女參與服務學習之支持情形。本研究主要目的：（一）探討家長支持子女參與服務學習之現況；（二）探討家長的公民參與程度與家長支持之關聯性；（三）探討家長的社會關懷特質與家長支持之關聯性；（四）探討家長對服務功能的認知與家長支持之關聯性；（五）探討納入性別變項，家長的公民參與程度、社會關懷特質、服務功能的認知與家長支持之關聯性。本研究以臺南市都會區之國中生家長為研究對象，共計抽取八所學校之786名家長；取樣資料以描述統計、皮爾森積差相關及巢式迴歸模型等統計方法進行分析。
本研究結果顯示：（一）家長普遍支持子女參與服務學習；（二）家長的公民參與程度和家長支持呈正相關；（三）家長的社會關懷特質與家長支持呈正相關；（四）家長對服務功能的認知與家長支持呈正相關，但同時納入社會關懷特質，則關心他人與家長支持之相關即消失；（五）納入性別變項，家長的公民參與程度、社會關懷特質、服務功能的認知與家長支持之關聯性沒有差異。
最後，根據本研究結果提供建議，以供未來服務學習之相關研究參考。

The study investigated the current situation of parents to support adolescence in participation of service-learning. The purposes of this study were to find out: (1) the current situation of parents to support adolescence in participation of service-learning (2) the relationship between citizen participation of parents and their supports (3) the relationship between social caring characteristics of parents and their supports (4) the relationship between the cognition of service function of parents and their supports (5) when gender was included, the relationship between the citizen participation, social caring characteristics and the cognition of service function of parents and their supports. The subjects of this study were 786 parents of junior high school students in Tainan city. The study analyzed the collected data by descriptive statistic, correlation analysis, and nested regression model.
The results of this study showed that (1) in general, parents willingly supported adolescence to participate in service-learning (2) the citizen participation level of parents was related to their supports (3) the social caring characteristics of parents was related to their supports (4) the cognition of service function of parents was related to their supports; while the social caring characteristics was included, the relationship between the caring people and parent support was changed (5) when gender was included, the relationship between the citizen participation, social caring characteristics and the cognition of service function of parents and their support was remained.
Finally, based on the result, this study proposed some suggestions that could be a reference to future research on service-learning.
