Kaohsiung City, with its high elderly population and remote areas, faces transportation challenges due to the geographical environment. Sustainable and human-centered transportation policies have been implemented to address this. The government has introduced multiple transportation methods like Yellow Cab Bus and Happiness Bus. In 2022, Meinong District promotes Sharing Happiness, Meinong GO!-DRTS 2.0, becoming the first social organization in the city to provide urban passenger transportation services. Meeting the transport needs of rural residents improves their quality of life and increases social capital through community activities. Research on Meinong GO will examine the relationship between the service and residents through in-depth interviews and grounded theory analysis. The findings will inform the establishment of DRTs services aligned with social capital principles, exploring concepts of community empowerment and sociotechnical systems theory.
