隨著筆記型電腦、液晶螢幕銷售提升的趨勢，使得TFT-LCD面板產業極被看好。近年來，我國「兩兆雙星計劃」中的TFT-LCD產業在2004年產量就佔了全球的68.2%，由此可知TFT-LCD產業對台灣經濟發展的重要性。故本次研究想要探討台灣大尺寸TFT-LCD面板產業的出口供需，望能有更深入的瞭解。本研究目的在探討哪些因素影響TFT-LCD產業的出口供需數量，以EViews軟體進行OLS迴歸分析，從中探討影響供需的因素。資料從2002年第一季到2005年第四季，包含友達、奇美、廣輝、華映、瀚宇彩晶等五家廠商R&D、機械設備以及其他變數，一共有80筆樣本。
在結果方面，顯著影響出口需求的有面板價格與美國GDP。另外，顯著影響出口供給的因素有面版價格、台灣資訊電子工業生產指數、台灣廠商的機械設備成本、與季節虛擬變數。

Recently, TFT-LCD industry of “Two Trillion Double Stars Facilitation Plan” in Taiwan has 68.2% global market share. Besides, the sales of NB, TFT-LCD monitor and LCD-TV are rising. In view of this, the TFT-LCD industry becomes an important development of Taiwanese economy. Therefore, this research discusses what factors would affect the quantities of demand and supply. There are total 80 samples of the quarterly data from 2002 to 2005 including variables like R&D and M&E etc of the AUO, CMO, QDI, CPT and HANNSTAR five companies.

In the empirical result, there are only two variables, exported price of TFT-LCD panel and GDP of America, affecting the exported demand significantly. On the other hand, there are four variables, exported price of TFT-LCD panel, Index of production of electronic parts & components industry, M&E, and seasonal factors, affecting the exported supply significantly.
