有許多的文獻指出塑料的黏度會受壓力環境的影響而改變,在本研究目的主要設計一個簡單矩形槽道來量測黏度。在此實驗中塑料的黏度可藉由射出成形機在模具內直接射模間接量測的方式取得,在射模過程中要讓塑料溫度與模具溫度保持在相同溫度狀態下實驗,並且藉由模穴內的壓力感測器得到壓力差,並且更改不同溫度及剪切率再加上壓力差的資料便可取得各種不同狀態下的黏度資料。有了這些黏度資料利用generalized Cross-Carreau 方程式來進行非線性回歸分析。最後經由這個簡單的實驗設備我們可以決定出壓力對不同塑料黏度的影響。
Viscosity of polymer melt was reported to depend on the pressure environment. A simple melt was designed and constructed in this study. Polymer melt viscosity under the processing conditions can be measured by direct injection of the mold mounted on an injection machine. During the molding the mold was kept at the same temperature as the polymer melt. Pressure transducers mounted inside the mold can pick up the pressure drop in the slit cavity. The data can be used to determine melt viscosities for different melt temperatures and shear rates. A generalized Cross-Carreau equation was used to fit the viscosity data. It is possible to determine the dependence of polymer viscosity on pressures using this simple setup.
