  • Youth Social Entrepreneurship (YSE) represents a significant and growing field empowering young people to address pressing societal challenges. Despite its importance for economic empowerment and social transformation, YSE research remains nascent and fragmented, lacking systematic analysis of its intellectual structure and temporal evolution. This makes it difficult for researchers and practitioners to discern significant research themes, evaluate their progression, and formulate clear future research directions. According to this need, our study aims to address two research questions: (1) What is the taxonomy of Youth Social Entrepreneurship as reflected in the existing literature? and (2) What are the temporal trends in the key research themes within Youth Social Entrepreneurship? To answerathese questions, this study employed bibliometricaanalysis using VOSviewer with Scopus as the main database. The network visualization identified six key thematic taxonomies: Entrepreneurial Antecedents of YSE in Developing Countries, Gender-Based Social Entrepreneurship, Youth-led Social Innovation, Agripreneurship and Rural Development, Rural Entrepreneurial Education, and Ecological Entrepreneurship Motivation. Furthermore, overlay visualization examined temporal trends, focusing on 2020-2024 due to limited publication volume prior to this period and incomplete 2025 data. This analysis illustrated an evolution in research focus: initially laying empirical foundations (2020-2021), then shifting towards sustainability and psychological insights (2021-2022), and subsequently concentrating on demographic and regional contexts (2022-2024). These temporal shifts illustrated the adaptability of YSE research and youth-led enterprises to the changing global socio-political environment. Future research should investigate gender barriers, technology's role in scaling social innovation, emerging ecological themes, and cultural contexts to inform strategies for enhancing support systems and educational programs for impactful youth-led social enterprises.
