網路服務(Web Services)是一種以網際網路做為網路服務之間溝通媒介的一種開放式標準的軟體元件,所以網路服務具有良好互動性(interaction)、可分散(distribution)及易溝通(communication)之特性,除此之外,只要使用者能找到適合的服務並將其組合成適合自身需求使用的網路服務,則此種軟體元件也就具有很好的重用性。雖然近年來,網路服務的相關議題正受到廣泛的注意與討論,目前仍許多重要的問題仍有待研究及解決,在眾多問題當中,其中一項重要的研究領域為網路服務組合(Web Services Composition),即將分散在各處眾多的網路服務進行組合以得到新功能性的服務。
目前許多組織紛紛提出以可擴展標示語言(XML)為基礎的網路服務流程描述語言,用以規範網路服務間如何協同運作;多位學者提出網路服務組合架構模型,並依據其工作流程來組合網路服務,但就目前組合技術而言,使用者被過度預期有能力用XML格式描述其需求及流程或缺乏有效介面輔助使用者進行流程製作,然後使用者搜尋最適之服務時缺乏語意、網路服務務品質(QoS)比對機制以協助使用者搜尋到最符合需求之網路服務且使用者需確認資料型態是否一致及請求每一個服務來組合成工作流程(Workflow)或新功能大部份是點狀的推薦後由使用者自行決定如何選擇可用的網路服務元件。此過程是相當耗時且複雜的,所以在這種情況下如果有一工作流程組合的推薦機制將可大幅減少使用者的負擔,並提供使用者各式各樣的搭配組合。
因此,本研究將提出一整合性自動化網路服務組合架構,以解決上述所提到的相關問題,達到自動整合之目的。
