  • 台灣島形成的過程中,受到早期張裂運動與上新世至更新世時期的造山運動擠壓,形成台灣西北部麓山帶中一系列東-西走向的早期正斷層與東北-西南及北北東-南南西走向的逆衝斷層,構成台灣西北部麓山帶的主要構造。本研究區域位於臺灣西北部的內麓山帶,研究區域內北邊的竹東-番婆坑構造以及南邊的獅頭山構造皆為造山運動形成的斷層相關褶皺。在地表上,兩個構造之間受到竹湖斷層所分隔。為探討竹東-番婆坑構造以及獅頭山構造地底下構造轉換的特性,本研究分析斷層特性及建立構造平衡剖面,並建立三維構造模型。
    竹湖斷層位於兩構造之間的轉換帶,必與此轉換帶有重要關聯。由地層分離圖上顯示竹湖斷層截切的地層落差僅局限於兩個構造之間,並且在短距離內有很大的落差變化,暗示著竹湖斷層為兩個構造發育時產生的被動式斷層,並於兩構造之間形成分隔,使兩個構造各自發育。構造平衡剖面中顯示,竹湖斷層西側切過獅頭山構造前翼,向東則分隔兩個構造冠部。三維構造模型顯示出竹湖斷層位於獅頭山構造的斜坡面終止之處。
    竹東-番婆坑構造與獅頭山構造之間的構造轉換帶呈現兩個形態:一是兩個構造頂部之間,地底下的斷層形貌由獅頭山構造東北-西南走向的斜坡面終止於竹東-北埔斷層面;二是竹湖斷層以東位置,由獅頭山構造西北-東南走向側斜坡面與竹東-北埔斷層銜接。竹湖斷層在轉換帶中分隔兩構造並隨著褶皺發育而向東南方逆衝。

    In the fold-thrust belt in Western Foothills of northwest Taiwan, there are two sets of fault systems, a series of E-W high-angle reversed faults, and the other series of NE-SW and NNE-SSW low-angle thrust faults. These high-angle reversed faults and low-angle thrust faults were formed by reactivated normal faults that developed during Neogene rifting and by the latest orogeny from Pliocene to Pleistocene, respectively. In the study area, the Chutung-Fanpokeng and Shihtoushan anticlines are fault-related folds and separated by the Chuhu fault. Analysis of structural character of the Chuhu fault is critical to study the structural transfer zone between the anticlinal structures. In order to clarify the subsurface features of the structural transfer zone, this study analyzes intersectional relationship among the major faults and constructs balanced cross sections to build the three-dimensional models and to demonstrate the characteristics of structural transfer zone in the subsurface.
    The stratigraphic separation diagram for the Chuhu fault implies that the fault was a passively formed fault and divided two blocks, which grew independently into fault related folds. The structural balanced cross sections show that the Chuhu fault is located on the place where fault shape changes.
    The structural transfer zone between the Chutung-Fanpokeng and Shihtoushan anticlines can be manifested by two features, an NE-SW trending oblique ramp of thrust with secondary splay in the hanging wall and the NW-SE trending lateral ramp connecting the Chutung fault and detachment fault of the Shihtoushan structure.
