The emerging technology of Near Field Communication (NFC) has resulted in the development of many NFC mobile applications from the access control, electronic payment, transportation and many others. NFC is expected to replace many existing technologies such as Bluetooth in wireless
connection and credit cards in electronic payment, because it is fast, reliable and very easy to operate. The Security and Privacy issues need to be addressed and implemented to secure users’ confidence. This thesis proposes a method for NFC application with most privacy concerns. A private lock is used an example to implement and demonstrate the proposed method. An NFC Android cell phone is selected as the mobile device. The system configuration is designed and fabricated for the presentation. The results show the preliminary NFC application is feasible and useful.
