This study aims to investigate the health inequality in Taiwan. Applying the methods of ordinary least squares, this research uses the spatial regression model and incorporates the number of persons that per doctor serves, the ratios of social welfare expenditure to government expenditure, literacy rates above age fifteenth, the ratios of health care expenditure to government expenditure, and mortality rates for investigation. Moreover, this research uses Geographic Information System (GIS) to examine whether health utility has spatial autocorrelation. By using Moran's index test, local indicator of spatial association (LISA) cluster, and spatial lag model (SLM). All examinations show that health inequality in Taiwan does exist.
