    ABSTRACT

Background: Leisure Time Physical Activity (LTPA) can enhance physical fitness, group cooperation and social skills, attention and self-confidence. How to promote the leisure time physical activity of school children and explore the factors affecting the willingness of children to engage in leisure time physical activities are important issues. However, few studies have explored the factors influencing the willingness of children to engage in leisure time physical activities, especially in Taiwan, and have not developed appropriate measurement tools.
Purpose: The purpose of the research is mainly to the content validity and potential surface validity verification of the children's willingness to participate in leisure time physical activities in the development of the research process.
Methods: This study is a cross-sectional survey. Through the three stages, the first stage of the questionnaire development, through the search for relevant literature and integration, as the basis for the development of the questionnaire items. The second stage invited 8 experts to verify the validity of the questionnaire content, the content of the questionnaire is validated by the Content Validity Index (CVI).The third stage, eight elementary school seniors were invited to verify the validity of the potential use.
Results: The Institute's development of the Willingness to Participate in Leisure time physical activities Questionnaire has 36 items, which are classified into five major factors (individual factors, interpersonal interaction factors, parents factors, environmental factors and school policies factors).Validated by 8 experts, in the content importance section; the content validity (I-CVI) value of each item is .88~1.0, and the total item content validity value (S-CVI) of the item is .9; In the expedient part, the content validity (I-CVI) value of each item except the interpersonal factor is .75~1.0, and the other four factors have the content validity value I-CVI value of .88~1.0, the total average content of the item. Validity S-CVI is .96. After 8 potential primary school children were tested for the validity of the potential use, in the surface validity section of the text, the scores of the 36 items were difficult to be recognized. The scores of 32 questions were mostly between 3 points (mostly understood) and 4 points (completely understood). In the meantime, there are 7 questions and only 1 person does not understand or does not understand at all.
Conclusions: The validity of the expert and the validity of the potential use show that the research on the development of the willingness to participate in leisure time physical activities has good content validity and the reliability and validity of the tools will be verified in the future and further implemented on a large number of samples.
