Stabilizing rammed earth with raw lacquer increased the compressive strength and resistance against water. Earth from earthslides was mixed and rammed with raw lacquer from abandoned lac tree farm and native lac tree to reorganize two spiritual spaces in Shenmu village of Nantou. The production, tectonics and material behavior of earth were stated through comparison between these two spaces.
