  • 此研究目的係在探索包容性博物館如何透過英文口語導覽服務轉譯和敘述其博物館裡的故事和訊息,並在包容性博物館的場域中了解英文口語導覽如何影響無法理 中文的參觀者所接收到的資訊及體驗。本研究以台北 228 紀念館為研究對象,因為該館從包容性博物館的角度出發,希望能提供多面向的觀點讓參觀者對 228 事件的起因、過程、影響有不同的認識。此外,該館自開館以來,便設有英文口語導覽服務,希望透過真人解說的方式,讓無法理解中文的參觀者也有生動的學習的方式。
    因此,了解英文口語導覽服務是如何將原文中文的訊息透過轉譯讓無法理解中文的遊客理解 228 事件複雜的歷史脈絡,不論對參觀者、館方都極為重要。 因為博物館轉譯和敘事乃參觀者與博物館之橋梁,其影響層面不僅止於參觀者對於歷史事件脈絡的認知,更可能影響參觀者體驗。故本研究致力於透過不同階段的使用者導向分析,以了解英文口語導覽詮釋和敘事的現況及其之於只能說英文的參觀者之體驗,以助館方能設計出符合該群參觀者需求之博物館敘事以及轉譯,進而提升其體驗滿意度,而本研究也希望此研究分析結果未來能有助於台灣其他博物館的英文口導覽服務規劃。

    The purpose of this research is to explore how inclusive museums interpret and narrate stories and information through English verbal guide service. Also, another purpose is to understand how English verbal guide service affects the experiences of non-Mandarin speaking visitors and information non-Mandarin speaking visitors receive in the context of inclusive museum. This research takes Taipei 228 Memorial Museum as the case for investigation. Starting from the inclusive museum’s point of view, the site provides multifaceted perspectives for visitors to understand the cause, process, and influences of 228 incident. Besides, the site also sets up English verbal guide service in order to provide active information reception methods for non-Mandarin speaking visitors. Therefore, understand how English verbal guides interpret and narrate the complicated history context of 228 incident to non-Mandarin speaking visitors without misleading is important for both visitors and museum authorities.
    Translation and narrative are the mediums between museum and visitors’ perceptions about the historic event and visitors’ experiences. By using visitors-oriented analysis method in different stages of the visit, this research endeavors to understand the realities of English verbal guide service’s translation and narrative, and how English verbal guide service influences non-Mandarin speaking visitors’ experiences in inclusive museums. The research hopes to help museum authorities to design services that encounter the future challenges originated from the shift of the role of museum in society and meet the needs of non-Mandarin speaking visitors. The results are also expected to be helpful for all museums.
