BIM” Building Information Modeling” is an application which has the core technology of rich information. During the lifecycle of building project, BIM has individually contributed to different sectors in the AEC industry, such as cost estimation, 3D model display, and schedule simulation, etc.. One of the applications that can be beneficial from using BIM is simulate the construction process. However, due to the lack of the mechanism of integrating BIM with simulation tools, the simulation of the construction process is not accurate enough. Therefore, there is a need to develop the new mechanism of integrating BIM with the simulation tool. In addition, this study chooses CYCLONE as the simulation tool since its simple representation of the construction process. This study focuses on the following objectives: (1) analyzing the requirement of CYCLONE simulation of a bridge construction method, (2) analyzing the mechanism information which BIM can provide for simulation the CYCLONE model, (3) developing the simulation mechanism which integrates BIM with CYCLONE, and (4) verifying the simulation process through case study.
