  • In the past five years, three major political conflicts have already occurred. Important business establishments like the Thailand stock exchange were forced to close, the airport was seized and the business district was closed respectively. Thus the growing need for business continuity planning is then a must for businesses in Thailand in order to prepare for such conflicts.
This research concerns about the moderating effects of business continuity plan in the impact of political conflict on business as well as their outlook. This thesis applied structural equation model (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for their methodology wherein business continuity plan and stakeholder interest are considered moderators.
In conclusion, the results show that business continuity planning is significant in moderating the model. Thus, the business owners should have an understanding that political conflicts should be predicted and planned for in ahead of time in order to avoid major downfalls. Firms should implement a proactive stance so that to ensure business continuity and resilience.
