  • 本篇研究目的在於探討至異地就讀的外國留學生本身具有的文化智能對於跨文化溝通恐懼之影響,另,採用外國留學生母國的文化寬鬆與嚴厲對於文化智能對跨文化溝通恐懼間之關係產生的作用。本研究問卷採線上填寫方式,受測者對象為現在於異地就讀或曾於異地就讀學位的外國留學生,問卷最後共回收118份。研究結果顯示文化智能對跨文化溝通恐懼有顯著的負面影響,而外國學生母國的文化寬鬆與嚴厲對文化智能與跨文化溝通恐懼不具有調節效果。最後提出本研究結論與建議,供學術界和實務界當作參考。另,透由這研究結果,以期許在面對跨文化的工作環境能學習到如何安然置於、處理或管理文化差異所衍生的問題。

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of cultural intelligence on intercultural communication apprehension amongst international students in a foreign culture. In addition, this study also examined the moderating effect of the cultural tightness and looseness of the students’ origin cultures. Data was collected using online surveys, with participants being individuals who were currently or formerly international students in a foreign culture. The final sample size was 118. Results indicate that cultural intelligence was related to intercultural communication apprehension, and this effect was not moderated by the tightness and looseness of the participants’ origin cultures. Academic and practical conclusions and recommendations are provided at the end of this study. Additionally, the results from this study can better inform our understanding of management issues facing cross-cultural work environments.
