本論文主要是以MPEG-7為基礎,實作一套適合在多媒體資訊中使用的查詢系統。其中以流體力學Control Volume的概念快速且準確地取得影片中的Shots及Key Frames,再以MPEG-7標準的描述及XML的應用程式介面(API)和微軟的MSXML ( Microsoft XML core Service )來建構一套完整的影片中人物查詢系統。如此我們便可以利用該系統之查詢機制,得到影片中所有的演員名單、角色扮演對照、每個演員所處的Shots和其出現在該影片中所有的時間,達成在影片中人物查詢的目的。
Based on MPEG-7, a searching system suitable for multimedia information is implemented. The concept of control volume from fluid dynamics is applied to read the shots and the key frames in the films. A complete searching system for characters in the films is then constructed by the MPEG-7 description formats, the XML application program interface (API) and Microsoft XML core service. Thus, the basic information for searching engine is provided, such as the names of characters and the corresponding roles, the shots for each characters and the show-up time in the play.
