本研究為探討臺灣服務業發展對於經濟成長之影響，參考文獻對產業發展分析採用構面及衡量指標，以產業規模、生產力、研發投入、服務出口等四個構面涵蓋因素為自變數，並以服務業對經濟成長影響為依變數，建立研究架構。本研究以臺灣1981-2015年政府統計服務業產值、家數、生產力、研發經費、貿易出口、GDP等資料進行實證，對採用指標先以因素分析歸納各構面重要因素，再進行複迴歸分析。研究發現，「產業規模構面」企業大型化因素、「生產力構面」勞動生產力因素、「服務出口構面」服務出口相對優勢因素等三項對帶動經濟成長有正向影響，其餘因素則無顯著影響。本研究對臺灣服務業政策意涵如下：
1.政府可透過政策促使企業大型化，達到帶動經濟成長效果。
2.勞動生產力提升可改善服務業發展並帶動經濟成長，但近年勞動生產力平均成長率衰退，應檢視人力培訓效果並改善培訓方法。
3.服務業研發投入長期不如製造業，導致研發成效不彰，應透過政策誘發民間投入研發，使服務業占總體研發比例明顯增加，將有助經濟成長。
4.透過政策擴大服務出口可帶動經濟成長，但臺灣服務出口占GDP不高且全球占比長期低於1.5%，應檢視推動國際化方式以改善服務出口瓶頸。

This study attempts to understand how the development of the service industry impacts economic growth in Taiwan. A literature review was carried out to further understand and analyze the main dimensions and measures of the industry development. And then, measures applicable to the service industry via factor analysis were carried out for preliminary dimensions of and factors of the service industry development to construct the research framework. The study made use of the factors under the four dimensions, including industry size, productivity, research and development (R&D) investment, export of services, as the independent variables. The impact of the service industry on economic growth was the dependent variable. Multiple regression analysis on data of service industry development during the period of 1981 and 2015 in Taiwan was conducted. It was found that the factors of the company size of service industry, labor productivity, and relative advantage of service export are positively affected economic growth which specifically brought by service industry development, while the factor of increase in R&D investment had no significant effect due to lack of R&D investment in the service industry. Hence, a set of more proactive R&D stimulation policy could be formulated by the government.
