科技的進步使得現今設計思維已與過去不同;舉兩個有關程式設計理念的例子:美國提出的508法案要求電子資訊技術應能讓身障人士使用,「無障礙網站」這個名詞為能讓視障人士完整使用網際網路的一個標準。不論是法律與道德上都已要求程式設計師需要考慮與設計身障人士取得資訊的傳遞方式。
本論文以方便視障人士能完整使用行動裝置的功能為出發點,針對Android上的輔助軟體作了整理與分析並且提出一個增強的架構來補足現今開發、管理與使用環境上的不足,改善資訊交換的平等性以及提供程式設計師一套完整的使用機制,讓程式設計師能透過這個架構更快地管理與客製化他們的軟體。
The advances in technology lead the thinking behind designs to evolve. For example, American’s Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires that electronic and information technology must be accessible for disabilities; Another example is that "Web Accessibility" makes those visually impaired can access web friendly. Both regulations and morality require that programmers need to consider and design a better way for the visually impaired.
This thesis proposes an enhanced framework to compensate the deficiencies of development and management on Android for the blind users. Our goal is to make visually impaired fully access mobile devices. By analyzing and classifying the applications of accessibility, we provide a solution to let programmers manage and customize their applications fast and conveniently and therefore the equality of information accessed is improved.
