電信業者於2009年初獨家代理國外大廠行動電話,為了達到手機多樣化服務功能,且符合大多數消費者使用模式,需擁有高速下載行動通訊頻寬,電信業者於2008年底起,開始著手建設速率為7.2Mbps HSDPA系統。行動通信業者僅在現有基地台做小幅度的軟硬體升級,即能提高無線傳輸速率;而因應投資成本與傳輸服務品質兼俱上,固網電信業者採用新一代同步數位階層(NG-SDH)乙太網路供裝方式來提供行動網路傳輸使用。
本論文將探討新一代同步數位階層乙太網路在1比N架構下和頻寬精度為VC-12-5v下所提供傳輸網路品質與HSDPA提升速率後在商用上使用的情況;藉由這次實測結果,未來企業客戶欲採行此網路架構或電信公司在3.75G HSUPA、4G LTE(Long Term Evolution)進行頻寬規劃時,將可獲得更好的傳輸網路品質與解決方案。
In early 2009, a famous 3G mobile phone with many cutting-edge technologies has been introduced in Taiwan exclusively by a telecom company. In order to provide various mobile services and to meet most users’ needs, the mobile communication with download stream at high speed bandwidth is essential. Thus, telecom companies begin to build 7.2Mbps HSDPA systems from the end of 2008. With minor upgrade of hardware/software in existing base stations, increasing wireless transmission bandwidth can be achieved. Considering both investment cost and transmission quality issues, telecom companies choose NG-SDH (Next Generation – Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) Ethernet as the transmission technology of mobile network.
This thesis will discuss the quality of transmission network provided by NG-SDH Ethernet under 1 to N architecture and VC-12-5v bandwidth granularity, and the result of commercial trial of upgrading HSDPA bandwidth. With our experimental results, we found that corporate customers will gain better quality of transmission network, if they are planning to choose this architecture or to design the bandwidth plan of 3.75G HSUPA and 4G LTE.
