在永續經營的概念下，建築設備也需以長壽化的思維來考慮，而針對建築設備長壽化所提出的對應手法之一就是讓建築設備進行「健康檢查」。本研究即針對電氣設備健康檢查所涵蓋的範圍，所採用的方法加以研究，得到三項具體的成果：
1.建立了住宅電氣設備健康檢查表：健康檢查表包括「設備基本資料表」、「設備經歷詢問表」及「電氣檢查表」（包含電力、避雷、電話、電視）。檢查表內明定檢查項目、檢查方法、檢查基準與風險等級，可供檢查時現場判斷設備現況。
2.電氣設備健康檢查表的應用：具備乙級電匠以上資格的檢查員在調查之後，會作成「檢查報告書」。其內容包括檢查表、書圖文件及注意事項表。明確將各個項目的檢查結果區分為有致命性危害、有致命性危害疑義需進一步檢查、輕微的問題、正常等四類。讓受檢查的住戶看了報告書之後能確實掌握其自家電氣設備健康狀況。
3.瞭解台灣地區住宅電氣設備現況問題：「電力設備」常見的現況問題有：設備接地施工不良、配電箱無清楚的標示造成維修困難、漏電斷路器所保護的分路錯誤、住宅內作業面照度不足等問題。「電視設備」常見的現況問題有：室外天線的導向子脫落、天線生鏽、接線盒破損脆化、露明的同軸電纜放置的位置易受潮受壓、弱電配線箱空間太小、電視出線口未保護等。「電話設備」常見的現況問題有：露明的電話線放置的位置易受潮、電話插座蓋損壞等。

On the basis of sustainable social development, building facilities also need to be concerned in the aspect of durability. According to the conception stated above, we dish out an idea for health-checking of building facilities. The research of this study is included the variety of electrical equipment and the way people use it. Then, we can come to some conclusions stated below:
1.The establishment of health-checking list of dwelling electrical equipment: It is included the basic data of equipment and inspection of electrical equipment. Items, methods and principles of inspection are all lined in the checklist in order that we can estimate the function of equipment when inspecting.
2.An application of health-checking list of electrical equipment: After investigation, the person who owns the qualification of secondary electrician will write the inspection report, which contains a check list, related documents, and directions; and definitely divide it into vital impairment, insecure impairment with advanced inspection, mild problem and normality. After reading the report, people living there can understand the condition of their electrical equipment.
3.Understand of problems for dwelling electrical equipment in Taiwan: There are some problems usually be found in power equipment, such as improper earthing of equipment, no clear index with panel board units causing the difficulty of repair, incorrect loop protected from residual current protective device, and deficient illumination in dwelling working space. While there are others in television equipment, including shed director and reflector and driven element of antenna outdoors, rusted antennae, broken junction box, moist and pressed unburied coaxial cable with improper placement, deficient space of communication panel board units and unprotected terminal for television. Besides, moist wires with improper placement and spoiled plug, telephone, and accessory screws are included in telephone equipment.
