本研究之主要目的在於探討定期貨櫃船公司員工人格特質對工作績效的關係。經因素分析後將人格特質分為「神經質」、「勤勉正直性」、「外傾支配性」、「開放學習性」與「親和性」等五個因素;工作績效分為「情境績效」與「任務績效」兩個因素。經由複廻歸分析結果,「勤勉正直性」與「親和性」對於「情境績效」與「任務績效」皆有正向的影響關係,而「神經質」則對於「任務績效」有顯著性的負向影響。本研究之結果可提供定期海運業者作為人力資源管理之參考。
The objective of this study is to realize the effects of personality on job performance in container shipping companies. Five personality and two job performance dimensions are identified based on factor analysis. These five personality dimensions are “Neuroticism”, “Conscientiousness”, “Extraversion”, “Openness to experience” and “Agreeableness”, whereas two job performance dimensions are identified as “contextual performance” and “task performance”. The findings of this study are as followed: (1) Conscientiousness and Agreeableness have significant positive influence on both contextual performance and task performance; (2) Neuroticism has a significant negative influence on task performance.
