本論文以臺灣流行歌曲裏的爵士曲風元素作為研究對象。
　　以爵士音樂史為脈絡，解析每個時期的風格特色，探討其中的音樂元素，藉此清楚爵士音樂意味產生的因由。探究爵士樂風格之後，再從臺灣流行歌曲中挑選出符合（模仿）各時期特色的曲例，剖析曲例使用的爵士音樂手法，做為印證、探討臺灣流行音樂使用爵士樂意味的情況。
　　本文分為二個方向進行，一個是爵士音樂史，另一個則是爵士音樂演奏手法與爵士音樂理論。最終以具體的曲例說明，臺灣流行音樂爵士風格成形的原因。祈能給本地流行音樂創作者一些有用的資料，以及創作的靈感來源。

Music is an art passed by time. It is couldn't expressed by texts, but it is through perform the music to understand what is called "style", and only in the time which is performing. Researching into this topic is not only about personal preferences and also about my work, the various music styles or adapted works are all about myself work content.

In this dissertation have two main axis of the orientations, One is to be the jazz music history into the context, analyzes that various music styles, representative persons and songs in every period, and explore elements of in the jazz music, select the song which is be affected (imitated) for verification and actual score.

Another axis is to analyze of the elements of jazz music and pick out the Taiwan popular music for proof. whereby cause of understand how come into being jazz music then inquire into what happening about the Taiwan popular music use jazz music.
