This study explores the determinants of aging in place (AIP) intention among mid-age and younger adults, emphasizing the psychological concept "Meaning of Home" (MOH). Using AMOS 26 for structural modeling analysis, the research identifies a significant positive relationship between MOH and AIP intention (β = 0.561, p < 0.001), which suggesting that a strong emotional connection to one's home promotes aging in place. The research highlights how a deep sense of belonging and identity associated with one’s residence can enhance the desire to remain in that space during later life stages. This emotional connection is presented as a vital element influencing housing decisions as individuals approach older age. Future research should consider longitudinal studies, additional socio-economic variables, and contextual factors like neighborhood characteristics and social support networks to enhance understanding of AIP intentions.
