產品開發流程中之造形發展階段往往是設計的暗箱,即使已有各式各樣的設計方法試圖輔佐造形發展,但設計師仍常在進行完設計研究後,不知該如何運用研究所得資料於後續產品造形發展上。由此可見,設計理論與產品造形實務間存有一個模糊地帶,欠缺聯繫彼此關係的具體橋樑。本研究透過設計知識的相關研究,將Muller在1989年所提出的「拓樸學、類型學、形態學」三階段產品設計方法(本研究稱其為「拓樸學→類型學→形態學」方法)連結至產品造形發展過程中相當重要的產品語意學理論,進而探討「拓樸學→類型學→形態學」方法、設計知識與產品語意學三者間的交互關係,並建立「設計拓樸模式」的初步架構。接著邀請十位工業設計領域專家進行相關設計知識的問卷調查,以獲得相對應之各階段設計流程中的可用知識建議,最後建立包含詳細實施步驟之「設計拓樸模式」。模式建立後,聘請十名工業設計系所學生運用此模式進行前瞻電動車模組之造形發展,以做為「設計拓樸模式」的施行範例,確實地具體化理論與造形實務發展的相輔相成,希望此創新模式無論對業界設計師或學生之產品造形發展過程都能有實質的助益。
The form-creation phase in the product development process is usually a black-box. Even if there are various design approaches trying to assist designers to do the form-creation, constantly designers still don’t know how to apply the design research outcomes to the consequential form-creation phase. This shows there is an indefinite zone between design theories and product form practice, and there is no specific bridge to link theories and practice. Through the literature reviews about design knowledge, this paper integrates the practical form-creation method topology→typology→morphology which was proposed by Wim Muller in 1989 to the theoretical product semantics, and then build a basic framework of the “Design Topological Model of Product Development”. With a questionnaire about design knowledge done by ten industrial design experts, we got the suggestions about which design knowledge can be applied to corresponding form-creation phase, so that the final model with detailed steps would be built. The practical example of “Design Topological Model of Product Development” is inviting ten industrial design students to utilize this model to do the form-creation of prospected LEV modules, and this verified the purpose of this paper of making theory and form-creation complementary, thus “Design Topological Model of Product Development” could specifically assist designers in the form-creation process.
