With the widespread deployment of digital signage and the screen wall, it is really easy for any organizations or business side to put some information to the customers. However, the customer could forget the news they saw on the screen most of the time due to the lack of interaction. In order to make the connection between a customer and the information on a display stronger, encouraging user engagement is a worthy way to try. Consequently, this thesis proposes a system combine digital signage with smartphone to achieve the interaction between the user and signage information. Unlike the current existing signage system, the proposed system allows multiple users to interact with the digital signage. According to the proposed system structure, a restaurant reservation system is implemented. The user can use an android smartphone app to connect with our digital signage, which shows the restaurant information in a department store. Once the connection is built, the user can check how many reservations the restaurant in which they are interested has. A user can also make a reservation for the prefer restaurant anytime as long as the connection existing. The system provides the capability for more than one user. Different users would have their own moving cursor; therefore, users could control the signage at the same time. The app is implemented on Android System while the signage system is implemented on Windows System.
