921地震後,液化問題受到國內廣泛之重視,但實際針對都市進行防災計畫時,若廣泛進行鑽探調查,則成本過高,若以少數鑽孔資料進行估計則可能造成估計誤差,因此,本文研究之目的,在於建立一套初步液化潛能分區之方法,以簡單且低成本之分析方法,區分出液化潛能較高之地區,以期降低液化調查之成本。
由於員林地區一帶在921地震後,發生嚴重之液化現象,且相關之研究豐富,具備良好之研究條件,因此本研究以大村鄉、員林鎮、社頭鄉之案例進行研究,利用網格分劃之方法,並選擇以地形、地質、水系、土地利用等四個圖層,利用員林鎮進行液化相關套疊分析,分別以未加權及加權之方式建立初步液化潛能指數 ,並以Iwasaki建議之累積曲線法率定分級之界線;復以大村鄉、社頭鄉之液化與非液化案例進行驗證,比較後得到以加權之初步液化潛能指數進行初步液化潛能分區之方法為較佳之方法。
由本方法進行之液化潛能分區,在本研究研究區內,預測液化之成功率可達94.5%,且其結果有偏向保守側之趨勢,具有初步且保守辨識出液化潛能高低之功用。
