  •   IDC(2003)的研究報告指出,一般企業將近35% -50%的資訊內容是沒有被索引,而對於一個擁有1000名知識工作者的企業來說,所有員工花費在檢索資訊上的一年費用成本至少就有250 -350萬美元之多。商業智慧系統 (Business Intelligence System, BIS)即是將企業的數據轉化為知識,幫助企業作出明智業務經營決策的工具,並提供管理層需要的資料,包含內部企業資源規劃(ERP)、供應鏈管理(SCM)、顧客關係管理(CRM)及外部情報資訊,經過ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load)的工具與程序,有效的萃取轉化成有用的資訊集結於資料倉儲,再透過線上即時分析(OLAP)工具,提供中高階主管和資料分析人員作動態報表查詢,配合主管資訊系統(EIS)、決策支援系統(DSS)及資料採擷(DM)的應用,作為決策判斷的參考根據,最後與企業入口網站整合,確實落實知識管理的應用。同時,對企業內外所有資料來源作統一存取之功能,不管資料來源來自於ERP, CRM, SCM,也包括檔案、試算表、與其他非結構性資料,以支持企業經營決策過程和依據。
    基於上述理由,本研究主要目的在於:
    (1)深入瞭解商業智慧系統的本質與其重要性;
    (2)以商業智慧系統為基礎,延伸至知識管理及創新績效的發展過程及理由;
    (3)探討整合商業智慧系統及知識管理對於創新績效在實務產業的運用。
      研究方法首先採用個案研究,深入訪談實際的案例,並將結果修正研究模型,再進行第二階段之問卷設計,作深入的調查。在個案研究發現,成功的商業智慧系統策略需要能夠提供快速準確的線上即時分析資訊,並透過網際網路使不同地區的產銷地點,安全查看及更新資料,讓企業隨時隨地掌握企業的經營情況。另外,資訊系統仍需要人員的經驗和知識才能夠發揮其應有的功效。因而透過知識庫連結各個資訊系統,依據需求展現知識管理並有效整合人員的經驗,可以發揮兩者互輔的功效。資料統計分析結果發現,知識管理系統必須透過資訊即時準確、知識庫連結以及協同作業靈活等特性,才能使組織創新發揮其完整的效益,靈活應對客戶的需求,並以產品和服務的品質來提高客戶的忠誠度,提升企業的價值。因此,透過有效運用商業智慧系統的設計特性,對於知識管理架構及創新績效,可提供決策執行者在執行策略的時候,對資訊資源有效的管理,以發揮企業知識整體的資訊價值鏈體系。

      Agility is vital to innovation and competitive performance of firms in contemporary business environments. Firms are increasingly 1relying on information technologies, including process, knowledge, and communication technologies to enhance their agility. Consistent with the interesting organizational knowledge and decision support system, information system researchers have begun promoting a class of information systems, referred to as business intelligence systems (BIS). The objective of BIS is to support extraction, transformation, and load of information in organizations. To be credible, BIS research and development should preserve and build upon the significant literature that exists in different but related fields, e.g. ERP, SCM, and CRM. The idea is that technology represents the means, and knowledge the end, of a process that includes many explicit and implicit methods for generating knowledge by using technology. To develop the concept of IT as an organizational capability and empirically examines the association between IT capability and firm performance.
    This research considers the roles of BIS and information systems in enhancing the quality of decision making in knowledge-based and high-tech start-ups. The purposes of this research are:
    (1)Go deeply to realize the innate character and essential of BIS.
    (2)In the foundation of BIS, to extend its influence to the development process of knowledge management (KM) and innovation performance.
    (3)To discuss the application of the integrated BIS and KM systems in innovation performance.
      The research method followed by case study and implementation of a structured company-wide questionnaire. By way of descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability check, ANOVA analysis, and linear structural relationship model. The results of the research are:
    (1)There are two characters in BIS, which can contribute KM to coordinate operations and get immediate information.
    (2)The technique characters will be influenced by different industries.
    (3)The characters of BIS and KM are positively related; besides, KM and BIS are positively related as well.
      Based on these findings, this research presents a strategic role of IT by examining the information network of influences through which IT has impacts on KM and innovation performance。
