When measuring the concentration of solution, generally speaking, the solution itself must be contacted to measure. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to apply optic to measure the solution without contact. The rotation angle of the solution can be measured by the polarized light and can be applied to calculate the concentration of the solution by analytical approach.
For the proposed "snapshot system", two birefringent crystals of different thicknesses are used to generate different polarization states. In this study, the Mueller matrix can be obtained through spectrum and Fourier analysis. Then, after some algorithmic calculations, the concentration can be calculated. However, due to the limitation of equipment accuracy, it is impossible to obtain the correct Mueller matrix by experiment. Therefore, the subsequent calculation of the rotation angle did not show the correct trend. Still, there are good results in the angle measurement of the polarizer.
