  • 本篇論文目的為提供一可嘗試之新方法於衛星校正,此新校正方法實踐於ERG衛星當中的低能量電子分析儀。ERG衛星計畫的重點目標為理解太空中電漿粒子的能量轉換與作用原理,如磁暴期間內磁層的相對論性電子在范艾倫輻射帶經常引發衛星故障和失常,以及相對論性電子的產生與質量損失效應都有待人們闡釋釐清。故理解粒子流的損耗和增加的機制,對於預測太空天氣變化,提升衛星對抗太空環境的防護水平也具有重要意義。其中,衛星的量測儀器便是理解這些機制的基本手段。
    ERG衛星當中,搭載著多組電漿粒子量測儀器,然而儀器於太空環境中可能因多種的不確定因素導致測量數值的偏差,因此對於測得數值,皆須進行進一步的校正以求更加精確。本篇論文以對於低能量電子分析儀的校正研究作為機會,對比不同方法求得之校正數值並討論,內文將以談永頤教授所構思的校正方法-談氏校正法,也就是本文所實踐之方法,與目前ERG衛星中測量儀器所通用的校正方法進行比較。兩種校正方法都是基於gyrotropic粒子速度分佈的假設進行校正,但談氏校正法額外利用到磁場在某些方向時儀器的對稱性,進而無需進行pitch angle的計算,也省去以最小平方法來減少校正的誤差。本論文最後將討論兩種校正方法在不同長度時間段下的數據差異。

    The purpose of this paper is to provide a new approach to satellite calibration. This new calibration method is practiced in Low-Energy Particle Experiments - Electron Analyzer (LEP-e) about the Exploration of energization and Radiation in Geospace (ERG) satellite. This new calibration method is based on the assumption of gyrotropic particle velocity distributions and utilizes symmetries of space plasma particle measuring instrument under certain directions of the magnetic field. The study is based on the calibration method proposed by Professor Sunny.W.Y. Tam - Tam’s Calibration Method, which is the method practiced in this thesis, and compare it with the calibration method commonly used for particle instruments on ERG. After comparison of these two calibration methods, it can be found that Tam’s Calibration Method can be used. Not only can the calculation of pitch angle be omitted, but also the least square method is not required to reduce the calibration deviation.
