Abstract
The service quality of inter-city bus transportation depends heavily on driver’s behavior and performance. Improper driving behaviors and performance may decrease passengers’ comfort, cause excessive vehicle deterioration, influence the service fleet, threaten safety, lower service quality, and increase cost of competitive advantages.
The relationship between personality traits and job performance has been discussed in managerial studies. When personality traits are well-categorized, the job performance of any specific employee can be predicted. In this study, Multinomial logistic regression for driving behaviors, driving performance and personality traits will be constructed. The results can be used as criteria for evaluation, selection, and hiring appropriate drivers.
Research findings show that neurotic type person affects the probability of acceleration and deceleration times and probability of comprehensive criteria, while extraversion type person affects probability of average punishments. Finally, driving experience affects probability of average rewards and probability of negative calling responses.
