Freight industry especially ground freight, holds an important role in economy growth, but in the other hand it gives negative impacts to environment and social issues. CSR comes as solution and in order to be more responsible, CSR companies tend to hold cash in high level. Based on that, we want to investigate the interaction between two pilars of CSR (environment and social) with cash holdings level and marginal value of cash in freight industry. Our results show that CSR has positive impact on cash holdings level and marginal value of cash. In addition, we also found that ground freight companies which have financial constraint will valued cash higher than the unconstrained one.
