This study aims at the relation between "urban hierarchy" and "the characteristic of the person who migrates" in the migration phenomenon, and uses the data of “lifetime migration”, and discusses the special migration selection. Therefore, this study establishes three kinds of research structure to discuss migration behaviors. At first, we confer on the difference of the persons who migrate or not, and discuss that the personal characteristic of the person who migrates. Secondly, we confer on the difference of the persons who choose different urban hierarchies. Third, we analyze that the migration streams that the person who chooses, and discuss the migration selection of the migration streams. And this study adopts Multinomial Logit Model to analyze all the migration behaviors.
After discusses the above-mentioned the selections of migration behaviors, we do more research on different Genders and Generations. Thus we propose two hypotheses. The first one is "the migration behaviors between male and female are different." The second one is "the migration behaviors on different generations are not alike." The empirical results indicate that, "male" and "female" are only different in migration or not migration. And different "generations" have different migration behaviors at three models.
