本論文是探討建築層級的竹子構造，以回應三個主要課題：1.無損傷材料接頭、2.單一材料、3.開發建築技術語言。

面對此挑戰研究的方法包括四個主要步驟：1.案例選擇、2.案例分析、3.語言開發、4.創作運用。從案例選擇中挑選六個案例進行解析，透過了解空間意圖來解析結構方式，最後歸納出基礎的技術語言。以此技術語言為依據，在再發展出新的語言。發展技術語言以有三個原則：變形、改變力學分佈、測試其創造空間的潛能。

運用研究結果的各種竹構技術語言進行空間創作。本論文以三個設計「亭」、「橋」、「盧」來回應，三個基本的建築議題—「豎立」、「跨越」、「包蔽」。

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the new capacity of bamboo constraction, with 3 objectives to achieve: 1.use only non-destructive joint, 2. use only single material, and 3.develop a construction language system.

To face this challenge, we have four procedures, which are 1. case selection, 2. case study, 3. language development, and 4. application. To begin with 6 selected cases and analyze its intention, purpose and structure, we then have the conclusion on basic construction language, which use as the foundation, to develop new construction language. There are three principles in developing new language: 1. shape deform, 2. internal force redistribution of structure, and 3.opportunity of developing new space.

Base on the conclusion of bamboo case study, we use it for developing new 3 creations of basic architecture topics: vertical (pavilion), crossed (bridge), and covered (building).
