As the global automotive industry undergoes a transformative shift towards electrification, the electric vehicle sector has gained prominence due to its potential for reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency. This thesis investigates the critical supply chain factors that influence the performance and competitiveness of electric vehicle suppliers in Taiwan. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze the key factors, and directions that impact Taiwan's electric vehicle suppliers along the various levels of the supply chain by applying the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach, combining the Fuzzy Delphi Method, and DANP (A methodology of integrating Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory – DEMATEL, and Analytic Network Process - ANP) to integrate insights from industry experts to enhance the comprehensiveness of the findings.
From the general picture, the analysis result reveals the importance of providing stable operational quality, cost saving, and competitive market prices for the electric vehicle market landscape of Taiwan's electric vehicle supply chain. From the specific performance setting, the result shows that it is the priority to become more agile, and flexible in handling the demands or requirements from external of the electric vehicle supply chain. Moreover, keep improving customer service through quality and risk management. For internal performance setting, cost reduction to provide a more competitive price for this stable developing market is also considered crucial.
