緬甸與中國邊境相互接壤的地利之便，加上中緬友好關係的倡議，使得緬甸外交政策與國內產業從1988年至今的三十年間相當依賴中國，近年，中國提出一帶一路倡議的想法後，皆須透過東南亞至印度洋再繼續往西方國家前進，在所經途中緬甸也扮演著相當關鍵的重要地理位置角色。緬甸也是東南亞國家協會一員，東協也力倡東協經濟共同體，目的在於單一市場與單一生產基地，讓東協藉由新機制與新方法強化執行既有的經濟倡議，因而變得更有和競爭力；同時也會加速優先部門的區域整合；加強商業人員、技術勞工和專家的跨國流通；並且強化東協的制度化機制；同時將會處理發展落差問題。
緬甸自2012年政體轉型後，逐漸開放的政治與經濟給予緬甸人民相當大的振奮，一掃過去外界對緬甸的種種批評聲浪，西方列國對緬甸解除經濟制裁搭配上民主化的轉變，讓緬甸如獲新生。緬甸在政體轉型以及人民意識逐漸高漲下，原本和中國友好的關係加上中國一帶一路倡議下，雙方在經濟策略合作上也有所變化；除此之外，緬甸與東協各國貿易的狀況與合作，其實也有賴於東南亞國家的區域合作與地緣政治關係。
然而，一個國家的發展必須得從內部的各面向來探討，國家的動力不外乎來自於三個：國家政府、市場產業以及市民社會，緬甸政府在政體轉型後依舊需要扮演關鍵角色，才能帶領緬甸發展，許多施政方針的走向以及經濟政策的制定，皆是關乎於緬甸脫離軍人政府後，甚至是未來能夠繼續往更高的層次邁進的關鍵因素所在；再來則是市民社會，緬甸人民的權利意識逐漸高漲的狀態下，其聲音與行動可以直接影響政府決策，使得緬甸在走向正常化國家後，民主化的要素也能夠逐漸補齊；最後才是市場產業，回歸現實來說，現在的市場逐漸熱絡，鑑於市場甫開放未有西方國家資本主義的基礎，因此在市場治理方面，則較為薄弱。

This research is focus on the transition of the political system in Myanmar in 2012, the gradually open politics and economy have given the Myanmar people considerable excitement. They have swept away all kinds of criticisms of Myanmar and the democratization of the economic sanctions imposed by the Western countries. The research used two research methods: a.)Lliterature review and b.) Case study. In the comparison of the political structure of governance in Myanmar, the 2011 period was used as a boundary to examine the period of the military government before the transition of the political system and the period of the post-transformation civil government. The current national policy trend, in addition to the influence of other countries in the world, must also be incorporated into the ruling reference. In the policy guidelines, some markets are still weak due to the opening up of the market. If the market and society cooperate, their capabilities may not be able to develop well. The market potential of Myanmar is quite broad and deep.
