由於四級銨鹽(TAAB)與SDS一樣具有疏水性質,二者之間的疏水作用使其銨鹽與SDS之間的交互作用比一般無機鹽類強,在本研究中以多角度光散射(Multi-angle Laser Light Scattering,MALS)批次模式及串聯模式下多角度光散射雷射光散射、折射率偵測器(Differential Refractometer)及紫外線探測器(UV/Visible Detector)串連凝膠滲透層析(Gel Permeation Chromatography)探討在不同十二烷基硫酸鈉(Sodium dodecyl Sulfate, SDS)濃度下,聚(N-乙烯吡咯烷酮) (PVP)與SDS及四級銨鹽之間的交互作用、以及其對構型的影響。從多成份系統的光散射原理可計算PVP與SDS、TAAB形成的複合物分子量、z-平均環動半徑(z-average radius of gyration,Rz),和複合物中的PNVF分子量,以及利用Hummel-Dreyer法計算SDS在PNVF分子鏈上的結合比率(binding ratio,γ)。
The interaction between poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) has been investigated for many years. Due to the fact that quaternary ammonium salt has the hydrophobic property which is similar to SDS. Therefore, we add tetramethylammonium bromide(TMAB) and tetrabutylammonium bromide(TBAB) to research how do these salt influence the interaction between PVP and SDS.
In this study, we use the multi-angle laser light scattering with batch mode and gel permeation chromatography with online multi-angle laser light scattering, differential refractometer, and UV/Visible detector. Using this technique with the application of Hummel-Dreyer method and multi-component light scattering principle, we can get information about the binding ratio (the amount of SDS bound to PVP), the z-average radius of gyration (Rz), the molecular mass of PNVF/SDS/TAAB complexes (Mw,PS), and the conformation plot to infer the structure of the complex.
