本文以勞倫斯・格羅斯伯格（Lawrence Grossberg）所提出的情勢分析（conjunctural analysis）方法為基礎，透過 Grossberg 及莎拉・阿赫美（Sara Ahmed）的情動－論述分析（affective-discursive analysis）探討在3・18運動、2018年九合一大選所產生的韓流及其後亡國感等事件中位置爭鬥（war of position）的過程，並進一步指出上述個別事件所產生的問題空間（problematic space） ，實際上涉及了不同共同體（community）想像間的衝突，也就關係到本文所援引的另一個理論資源：法國哲學家儂曦（Jean-Luc Nancy）的社會存有學（social ontology），儂曦以內在論（immanentism）批評訴諸單一本質運作、建構的共同體，並以共在（being-with）的概念重新提出一套別於內在論的共群（community）倫理。

這樣的共群倫理體現於 2018 年九合一大選後產生的亡國感，一方面某種象徵以台灣主體構造的共同體想像面臨重大威脅，另一方面至2019年間又接連發生香港反修例運動、東突厥斯坦「再教育營」報導等，迫使台灣必須在彼此衝突的共同體想像間尋求新的可能，如此緣起於戰後至後冷戰遺留在台灣政治體制上的僵局，反覆在台灣當代史再生產的狀態成為本文所要描述的有機危機（organic crisis），然而，在2018-2019 年間這樣內在交迫的情況下，反而促成了許多「跨出同溫層」的論述與行動，這類的論述與行動突破的上述事件中較為內在論共同體想像下的論述－情動組織，邁向一種以存有於共同（being-in-common）為基礎的共群想像，並浮現了別於過往的共群倫理，也證明了「亡國感」的悼亡具備突破有機危機的積極意義。

This research is grounded in Lawrence Grossberg’s method of conjunctural analysis, employing both Grossberg’s and Sara Ahmed’s affective-discursive analysis to explore the processes of the war of position within the context of the 3-18 Movement, the 2018 Nine-in-One Elections, and the subsequent rise of the Han Kuo-Yu Wave, as well as the emergence of the “illusion of national subjugation.” The study argues that the problematic spaces generated by these events are deeply entwined with conflicts between different imaginaries of community. This, in turn, relates to another theoretical resource utilized in this thesis: the social ontology of the French philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy. Nancy critiques the construction of communities based on immanentism, which operates on a singular essence, and instead proposes an ethics of community rooted in the concept of being-with.

This community ethics was manifested in the "illusion of national subjugation" that emerged following the 2018 Nine-in-One Elections. On one hand, it symbolized a significant threat to the communal imaginary constructed around Taiwanese subjectivity. On the other hand, the series of events in 2019, such as the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement in Hong Kong and the reports on the "re-education camps" in Xinjiang, forced Taiwan to seek new possibilities amidst conflicting communal imaginaries. The thesis describes this recurring state of organic crisis, which originated from the post-war and post-Cold War impasses embedded in Taiwan’s political system and continuously reproduced in Taiwan’s contemporary history. However, within the internal pressures of 2018-2019, this situation paradoxically facilitated numerous discourses and actions that "transcended echo chambers." These discourses and actions disrupted the discursive-affective formations of more immanentist communal imaginaries in the events, moving towards a community imaginary based on being-with. This process reveals an alternative community ethics, demonstrating that the mourning inherent in the "illusion of national subjugation" possesses a positive potential to overcome organic crises.
