  •   Motorola在1987年開始推動6-Sigma改善計畫,兩年後得到美國馬康巴拉治國家品質獎(Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award)時,並未受到企業界很大的重視。但奇異公司在1995年重新全力啟動的6-Sigma計畫,卻受到全球極大的重視。國內企業亦於1999年起陸續跟進,本研究有鑒於此品質改善方法對於國內產業競爭力提昇助益匪淺,故以國內某不銹鋼裁剪中心應用6-Sigma品質改善方法執行生產線產值及製程能力提昇為案例,研究其如何利用6-Sigma品質改善方法之界定、衡量、分析、改善、控制五大改進循環,解決策略目標執行過程中所產生之問題。
      本研究主要為運用6-Simga品質改善方法結合實驗設計之Yate’s演算法,找出影響不銹鋼鏡面鋼板生產線產值提昇之關鍵因素,以作為國內各不銹鋼裁剪中心品質提昇之參考。研究結果發現,研磨顆粒、羊毛氈密度、研磨液濃度及研磨壓力對不銹鋼鏡面鋼板生產線產值提昇有正面影響,並提供有意導入6-Sigma品質系統之國內不銹鋼產業做為參考。

      Motorola initially implemented the Six-Sigma in 1987 and won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award two years later. However, Six-Sigma improvement did not receive well notices until GE re-started the approach in 1995.
      Six-Sigma received poor notices when the program helped Motorola obtain the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Six-Sigma was initially implemented by Motorola in 1987 but the whole world did not pay too much attention until GE re-started the Six-Sigma in 1995. Subsequently, Taiwan’s industry continually followed the example in 1999. In view of the fundamental objective of the Six Sigma methodology which uplifted the competitiveness for Taiwan’s industry, this study was based on the application of the Six Sigma that has been adopted by one of the stainless coil center. The Six Sigma led to upgrading of the output value of assembly line and the ability of process technology. Therefore, this study was about to know how to utilize the Six Sigma improvement (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and solve the problem during the implementation.
      The purpose of this study was using the Six Sigma with Experimental Design of Yate’s Algorithm to find out the key factor of the steel output value, and the key factor would be the reference for the stainless coil center in Taiwan. The result of this study indicated that the pellet of grinding grit, density of wool felts, concentration of grinding liquid concentration, and the pressure of grinding pressure have positive effect on the output value. Also, the result provided an idea for the company which is willing to implement the Six Sigma quality system in the future.
