近年來,液晶平面顯示器因具備輕薄、省電、、等優勢,逐步成為電視市場之主流技術。然而次世代液晶顯示器生產線投資額龐大,如何精準預估市場需求,適時且適量投資,避免供過於求,已成為液晶電視市場的重要課題。
由於美國市場為目前液晶電視市場佔有率最高市場之一,本研究利用美國地區為標的,分析西元2004年3月到2008年6月間,全尺寸液晶電視及大尺寸、小尺寸兩個電視尺寸區間內,影響電視銷售量的因素。經由基礎理論的分析及探討相關文獻,本論文列舉國民生產毛額、人口數、、等十項解釋變數,並外加季節虛擬變數,藉由計量經濟學的分析,分析影響液晶電視銷售量的因素,並依不同尺寸區間建立液晶電視銷售量的迴歸模型,以作為液晶面板業者後續建廠規劃的參考。
本研究使用Eviews進行多元迴歸分析,並透過共線性、顯著性、變異數不齊一、以及自我相關等統計檢定之後,得到最後修正之多元迴歸模型。研究結果表示所有區間的液晶電視皆與產品價格呈獻顯著反向關係,而整體液晶電視市場與國民生產毛額呈顯著正向關係,整體液晶電視市場和小尺寸市場與季節因素成顯著的正向相關,尤以第四季為最。而一般認為的電價因素,卻在迴歸模型中確定為與銷售量不相關。
因此液晶電視供應商及面板製造商致力於成本降低應仍可有效刺激需求,而季節因素的影響也可使製造商衡量如何調節淡旺季人力及生產效率以達到較低的成本。
For the past few years, the liquid crystal displays have become a mainstream on the TV market because they have advantage like thin, light and energy efficient. However, the capital investment for the next-generation liquid crystal displays production line is huge. How can manufacturers project the market demand accurately and invest in the suitable time with the suitable amount to avoid over supply has become an important issue on the LCD TV capital investment.
Base on that the U.S. market has the largest share on the LCD TV market, it is used as the subject of this study. We analyze the factors influencing the sales of full-size, large-size, and small-size liquid crystal TV sales in the period of August 2000 ~ May 2008, respectively. Through basic construction of relevant theories and literature reviews, ten explanatory variables including GNP, population, and others are listed in this thesis. Moreover, dummy variables in seasonal analysis are included. The econometric approach is adopted to analyze factors affecting the sales of liquid crystal TV sets and a regression model is established for sales of liquid crystal TV sets of different sizes to suffer as reference for liquid crystal display manufacturer capital investment in the future.
Eviews is used in this study for multiple regression analysis. With statistical tests for multicollinearity, significance, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation, a final modified multiple regression model is obtained. Results of this study show that LCD TV of full size, large-size, small-size are in a negative relationship with the product price. LCD TV of full size range is in a positive relationship with GNP; and the LCD TV of full size, small-size is in a significant positive relationship with the seasonal factors, especially in the 4th quarter of each year. But the electricity price factor generally perceived to be relevant, is defined to be irrelevant to the LCD TV sales.
Therefore, LCD TV suppliers and LCD TV panel manufacturers devoted to reduce their cost can still effectively stimulate demand and influences from seasonal factors can also make manufacturers evaluate how to adjust their manpower and productivity in hot seasons
