本研究使用報導基因重組酵母菌生物試驗法檢測臺灣南部共20個公/私立泳池水相及懸浮固體相樣本中之類(抗)雄激素、類(抗)孕激素及類(抗)糖皮質激素活性,搭配液相層析串聯式質譜儀分析其中有機磷阻燃劑之濃度,並與自來水及污水處理廠樣本進行比較。生物試驗結果顯示,有機磷阻燃劑具有抗雄激素活性、抗孕激素活性及抗糖皮質激素活性。抗雄激素活性於約八成的泳池水相樣本中測得 (ND-297.62 µg FLU-EQ/L),而僅於一水相樣本中測得抗孕激素活性 (2.79 µg NP-EQ/L)。相較之下,於泳池水相及懸浮固體相樣本中常可測得抗糖皮質激素活性 (0.12-41.7 µg TeCBPA-EQ/L及<0.07-1.92 µg TeCBPA-EQ/L),其測得頻率分別為100%及90.5%。
液相層析串聯式質譜儀之分析結果顯示,本研究選定之七種目標有機磷阻燃劑於大部分之水相與懸浮固體相樣本中皆可測得,且較易累積於液相中。於泳池水相樣本中濃度分布為磷酸三異丁酯 (<24.9-66.2 ng/L)、磷酸三正丁酯 (17.6-21316.7 ng/L)、磷酸三苯酯 (7.8-708.5 ng/L)、磷酸三(2-丁氧基乙)酯 (7.6-480.6 ng/L)、磷酸三(2-氯乙基)酯 (2.9-229.4 ng/L)、磷酸三(1-氯-2-丙基)酯 (22.7-2629.3 ng/L)及三(1,3-二氯-2-丙基)磷酸酯 (29.9-3273.7 ng/L),並以兩種含氯之有機磷阻燃劑,磷酸三(1-氯-2-丙基)酯及三(1,3-二氯-2-丙基)磷酸酯為主要物質。其中於兒童池樣本中普遍測得較高濃度之有機磷阻燃劑,可能主要由池中之塑料產品釋出。
將生物試驗測得之抗糖皮質激素活性與由有機磷阻燃劑濃度估算之抗糖皮質激素活性進行比較,發現兩者於泳池之水相與懸浮固體相樣本皆顯示低度正相關,而有機磷阻燃劑於懸浮固體相樣本中普遍有較高之抗糖皮質激素活性貢獻。根據泳池樣本中有機磷阻燃劑濃度進行暴露量評估,其結果顯示若暴露於臺灣南部泳池中,有機磷阻燃劑並不會對人體造成健康危害。
Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), also known as environmental hormones, may affect the metabolism and growth of organisms by only trace amounts. Among them, organophosphorus flame retardants (OPFRs) are widely used in a variety of daily necessities, including furniture, textiles and plastics. The aim of this study was to investigate the endocrine disrupting potential and the occurrence of OPFRs in swimming pools from southern Taiwan. Endocrine disrupting activities including (anti-)androgenic, (anti-)progestogenic and (anti-)glucocorticoid activities were examined by yeast-based reporter gene assays. OPFRs, including tri-n-butyl phosphate (TnBP), tri-iso-butyl phosphate (TiBP), triphenyl phosphate (TPhP), tris(2-butoxyethyl) phosphate (TBEP), tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP), tris(1-chloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TCPP) and tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl)phosphate (TDCPP) were analyzed using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Bioassay analysis revealed that 5 OPFRs (TnBP, TiBP, TPhP, TBEP and TDCPP) showed anti-androgenic, anti-progestogenic and anti-glucocorticoid activities. Also, swimming pool water and suspended solids (SS) samples exhibited anti-androgenic, anti-glucocorticoid activities and anti-glucocorticoid activities, respectively. LC-MS/MS results revealed that 7 OPFRs were often detected in swimming pool water. According to exposure assessment, daily intake values of OPFRs were lower than their reference doses.
